Feb TSCA Spar Talk
John Brady of Independence Seaport Museum hosted the Delaware River Chapter of the TSCA at the Workshop on the Water. Shoptalk featured the boats, FISH STIX, SILENT MAID, TORCH and TOP PRIORITY. John decribed the methods and means he used to create the spars for ELF, an 1880's racing cutter.
The last picture is of SILENT MAIDs hollow bird's mouth mast after rounding. You can see the carbon fiber rod and the plug in the end.
