Carbon Planks
Made carbon fiber planks on the Core Sound Hull. The two sheer panels were laminated with plainweave fabric to stiffen them. First the screw holes were filled and the form faired. Next, an all over sanding leveled all joints and holes. Then the corners of the transom were rounded over using a router and the chines were softened with a rasp and more sanding. The fabric was tretched using tape and staples and wet out with 26-30oz. of mixted epoxy per side. This was well worked into the fabric with a spreader squeegee.

Wendy,
Maybe I'm missing something here, but do you post pictures of your work? I have been following your blog for a while, and am curious to see some of the boats you talk about in your shop.
