Norm Blanchard Regatta
Pete & I sailed in the Norm Blanchard Memorial Regatta. We sailed DEWEY, a 12' Woods Hole spritsail catboat from the Center for Wooden Boats livery service. Perfect Breeze, three 2nd's and a 3rd. Not bad for a couple of 'duffers' on their first try. Great folks out here, but the float planes are un-nerving, taking off and landing amidst the frivolity.

2 FWD 1 BACK
Cut and whipped rigging for the Munson sneakbox. Peak, throat, & sheet. Spliced on the centerboard pennant.
Made a jig to drill plug for the leak over the starboard bunk on Silent Maid.

Floorboards
Worked on the Munson sneakbox today.
Put in some cleats on the floorboards, attached two filler blocks under the floorboards, bolted on the deck blocks, and was about to attach the toggles to hold down the bailing board when five o'clock rolled around and disrupted the pleasant activities. I am over at my shop now sanding the Core Sound SPARTINA. Check out the color on sailorgirl.

Sanded
Sanded (last spots I hope.) It's cooler now and I got some slow hardener. I am hoping for a smoother finish and less orange peel texture.

Middleton Cup
A floater. Gentle puffs eased us along. LIGHTNING brought a large number of squeakers along who serenaded the rest of the fleet. John, John, John, Carolyn, Chuck, and I sailed TORCH. WASP, LOTUS, SPY, SPYDER, MARY ANN, GHOST, TAMWOCK, VAPOR, and best of all, SILENT MAID were out sailing. All rounded the marks serenely and then were unceremoniously towed home as the sun sank and the breeze died.

New ePoxy
Picked up new epoxy today at MAS. I am trying some tests with different harneders to see how they run. Sanded the whole hull again, searching for that mirror surface did some last minute fills. Tomorrow is the Middleton cup race est.1921 at Seaside Park Yacht club. Home of SPYDER.
